Craftsmanship—do what you love & do it well

Over eight weeks we will help you to strengthen your core throwing skills and develop your knowledge of professional ceramic techniques and methods. We will also teach you:

  • Mastering the wheel thrown cup

  • Pulling & attaching handles

  • In-lay & sgraffito techniques

  • Throwing repetitive forms

Embrace your creative side using our speckled mid fire clay & huge selection of glazes. You can also practice throwing outside of class during our weekly studio sessions.

With the mid-term firing in our intermediate courses, you will get an opportunity to practice glazing and explore colour combinations before you glaze all of your completed work in week 8.

Please Note

This course is a mixed class with both beginners and advanced students

*If you’re not sure if you have enough experience to join this course please email info@bsoc.com.au.

Students must choose one class. There is no swapping between classes through the term.

The price includes all clay, slip, in-house glazes, studio equipment and tools used during each class. Please note- there is a separate fee for all work we fire in our kilns. The firing fee is $12 per kilo (roughly 5 small pots), payable when you collect your finished work.
