Beginners Wheel & Hand Course: 8 weeks

Beginners Wheel & Hand Course: 8 weeks

Wednesdays, 6:30pm-8:30pm (23 October to 11 December).

This course is suitable for students with no pottery experience, beginners & students who have completed our 4 week wheel course.

Craftsmanship—do what you love & do it well

Over 8 weeks we will teach you how to make your own wheel thrown & hand built pottery. You will also learn:

  • Making wheel thrown cups & bowls

  • Slab built plates & flatware

  • Throwing off the wheel-head

  • A large hand built project

  • Glaze & surface decoration

Embrace your creative side using our mid fire & stoneware clays, as well as our huge selection of glazes. You can also use the studio outside of class during our weekly studio sessions.

Please note:

The price includes all clay, in-house glazes, studio equipment and tools used during each class. Please note—there is a seperate fee for all work we fire in our kilns. The firing fee is $10 per kilo (roughly 5 small pots), payable when you collect your finished work.
