Learn how to make pottery with an eight week course. Suitable for beginners with some or no wheel throwing experience.

A meditative & highly rewarding experience

Together, all our students have the chance to embrace craftsmanship and creativity—to make their own unique, sustainable ceramics.

In this course we cover:

  • Throwing off the hump on the pottery wheel

  • Creating bowl & cup forms

  • Glazing & surface decoration

Experienced potters should see our advanced term course.

Practice outside of class

Students can also practice their throwing skills outside of class hours. In Term three, all continuing BSOC students will have four free hours to use during open studio sessions.
